Two weak solutions for some singular fourth order elliptic problems
In this paper, we establish the existence of at least two distinct weak solutions for some singular elliptic problems involving a p-biharmonic operator, subject to Navier boundary conditions in a smooth bounded domain in RN . A critical point result for differentiable functionals is exploited, in order to prove that the problem admits at least two distinct nontrivial weak solutions.

We prove extensions of the estimates of Aleksandrov and Bakel′man for linear elliptic operators in Euclidean space R to inhomogeneous terms in L spaces for q < n. Our estimates depend on restrictions on the ellipticity of the operators determined by certain subcones of the positive cone. We also consider some applications to local pointwise and L estimates.
